Question by power_house911: How do you get the paint off of silver eagles?
I personally do not like painted coins. I was wondering if there was a way to remove the paint or ink on Lady Liberty and the rising sun on the face of some silver eagles without damaging the coin? I think it's more of an ink because it has dots on it like it was done by a machine or computer, but it may be a mix of both. Anyone have any solutions?

Try fingernail polish remover, or maybe Acetone either one should desolve the paint or decal. Warning both are flameable so be careful around an open flame.
